Voting in the 2023 ISMMS elections is now open in the Members’ Area of the ISMMS website. All current members of the society are welcome (and encouraged!) to vote. You will need to be a current member to vote, so please consider joining the society to have your say.
There are three board positions open: 2 Ordinary Member positions and Treasurer.
There are 7 candidates for the 2 Ordinary Member positions (four year terms), so please read the CVs and Statements for each candidate and vote for up to two candidates.
For the Secretary position, no new candidates put themselves forward, so the current Secretary Owen Coggins will stand for a one year extension and a new election will take place at the end of 2024:
Having previously announced that I would not stand for re-election as Secretary, no candidates have put themselves forward for the role. In consultation with the Chair and Executive Board, I have agreed to stand for a one year term. In addition to ensuring the position is not empty, another advantage to this solution is that makes the staggering of elections consistent, in that there will now be elections for two positions each year, rather than three positions this year and one next year. Elections for four year terms in roles of Webmaster and Secretary would then be held in Winter 2024-25.
Voting will close on 4th December 2023 at midnight GMT/UTC and the results announced shortly afterwards.
