The Tricinty Rock and Metal Festival is set to return for its third edition on May 23 and 24, 2025, in Rabat, with organizers promising a «more intense and daring» experience. Designed to spotlight professionals in the rock and metal scene, the event is evolving into a true hub for networking and collaboration between industry experts and enthusiasts at the regional level.

The lineup includes seven bands from both national and international scenes: Klone (France – progressive metal), Angelus Apatrida (Spain – thrash metal), Sugar Horse (UK – experimental post-metal), Thrillogy (Morocco – thrash metal), Old Scholl (Morocco – thrash metal), Mycose of You (France-Morocco – punk hip-hop fusion), and We Come For War (Morocco – alternative metal), the winner of the L’Boulevard 2023 Tremplin in its category.

Organized by the Hiba Foundation, this year’s event promises much more than just musical performances. On May 21 and 22, the «Just Add Drums» masterclass will be held at the Hiba Studio in Casablanca. Led by Jack Wrench and Chris Coulter from the UK, this immersive session is aimed at drummers, producers, and sound engineers. It will offer professional insights into drum recording techniques, focusing on achieving clean sound at the source to simplify post-production.
On May 24, French sociologist Gérôme Guibert (Sorbonne Nouvelle University, ISMMS) will deliver a lecture on «Metal Music Studies» at the Gérard Philippe Hall of the French Institute in Rabat. A specialist in popular music studies, Guibert’s research focuses on cultural and economic sociology. His work includes field experience as a founding member of Mélanie Seteun Editions and Volume!, a journal of popular music studies.
