The results of the recent election for two Ordinary Member positions on the Executive Board of the International Society for Metal Music Studies are as follows: Gérôme Guibert and A. Rose Johnson have been elected to the Board. They have confirmed their commitment to serve four year terms from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2027. The Board congratulates Gérôme and Rose and welcomes them.
We also thank Livy, Holly, Angela, David and Bruno for participating in the election process and contributing to a strong field of candidates, which resulted in a close election.
48 out of 48 voters supported a one year extension of Owen Coggins’ term as Secretary, and he has agreed to continue in this role.

The next election will take place at the end of 2024 for the positions of Secretary and Webmaster.
